Projected capacitive touch (PCT) technology is the most powerful and adaptable user interfaces available in touch screens application. Projected capacitive touch sensors provide the means for direct and immediate user interaction. They are contactless, solid-state sensors without moving parts. No pressure is needed to active the capacitive sensor which is covered by protective insulating layers, all that required is only a gentle touch over a key or glide along the surface of a capacitive touch screen.
